Different Types of Yoga/Dosha Formed By Jupiter

Dahn Yoga Helps Relieve Arthritis and Other Health Issues

We usually assume that getting older means a loss of energy, strength, flexibility, purpose and even hope. And in their place: one or more major diseases and several minor conditions. For more and more people in the United States and around the world, the answer is holistic fitness training. In her early 60s, Sandra lives in the Midwest. As a Dahn Yoga practitioner for more than three years, her case is typical of people who improve their physical health and emotional state through regular classes, individual healing sessions, advanced workshops, and practice at home or the office.

With Arthritis, Sandra experienced a life of pain and limitations, and other related health problems. Here are her words, “Before I started Dahn Yoga,

several life events combined to create depression and several physical challenges. I retired from a 45-year working career, my sister had a mental

breakdown, and my elderly mother passed away. Arthritis, two degenerated discs in my back, and soft tissue damage from a car wreck 40 years prior made getting out of bed in the morning very painful.

“I had to walk bent over from the waist for a few minutes before I could stand up strait. I had standing appointments with a chiropractor every 10 days. Activity always put me in pain, and without a routine to follow inactivity took over, thus losing interest in life. Although I did not do much, I was tired all the time. The local senior center offered free access to physical fitness machines, but somehow I could not get out my door by 10:30 a.m. to drive two miles and take advantage of those machines.”

Then Sandra found Dahn Yoga. As often happens with new members, her health improvement was quick and dramatic. She reported, “Within two weeks of beginning Dahn Yoga classes, I noticed an amazing increase in my energy level. I painted walls 13-feet high from a ladder. I felt alive again. Many of my women friends asked, ‘What are you doing? You’re glowing!’ I replied, ‘It’s Dahn Yoga.’ Although the drive from to my home to the center is often an hour, I still go at least three times a week.”

Like many other Dahn Yoga practitioners, Sandra made progress in several physical health areas. As she put it, “I noticed an immediate improvement in my back. I could get out of bed easily. I have been to see my chiropractor only five times in the past 3-1/2 years. I gained back one inch in height. I felt full of energy. Then my body changed. Weighing the same as I had six years before, I lost 19 inches in my arms, thighs, waist and bust. I am wearing clothes I wore when I weighed 20 pounds less than I am now. Even my eyesight got better. I went from 2.50 to 1.25 magnification.”

As typically occurs with Dahn Yoga training, improvements in physical conditions lead to feeling better emotionally. According to Sandra, “Driving in heavy traffic has always been a challenge for me. I became angry, frustrated and impatient. Thanks to my Dahn practice, it no longer bothers me. Switching lanes is not a contest or a personal insult any more. I’m relaxed, thinking, ‘It’s just traffic.’ The traffic has not changed, but I have.”

“A number of deep personal issues from long ago have resolved themselves. Because of the various programs that I have taken, which Dahn Yoga’s founder Ilchi Lee created, I do not feel guilt or shame for not succeeding in some life choices made a long time ago. After carrying these failure feelings for years, now I am free. This freedom improved my self esteem to where I felt good enough to start Internet dating. I am now in a serious relationship with a gentle, kind, thoughtful and funny gentleman.”

In a total health program, meditation plays a key role. This is Sandra’s viewpoint, “Meditation calms and centers me. I value the serenity. Finding That Secret Martial Arts Karate Technique!

When I was a child I wanted to learn secret martial arts. I wanted to know those mysterious fighting moves that would enable somebody smaller to smash somebody taller. I wanted to know that hapkido or jujitsu or whatever that would enable me to really trash the bad guys.

I began my study of Ed Parker Chinese Kenpo Karate, and the mysteries danced on my fingers. In those whirling movements were hidden fist martial arts, invisible and scorching dragon concepts, and down and dirty, take ‘em to the dumpster fighting secrets. I was overjoyed by the endless variety of forms and techniques…but I couldn’t quite figure out the secrets.

From Chinese Kenpo I made the jump to classical Karate. There was a secret Karate had, I was sure of it, and I drilled the karate kata until my stances trembled. In the end, I could grip the mat with my toes, and throw that classical power with the best of them, but there wasn’t any real secret to it all.

After Karate I made the transition to Kung Fu, with all those styles there had to be a secret Kung Fu that would make me just really unbeatable! I threw myself into Shaolin Kung Fu and Kung Fu fighting and…I felt like a whirling dervish on speed! But, in the end, I didn’t find that secret that would make me superhuman!

Okay, not just Shaolin, but maybe a specialized type of secret Shaolin! So I went looking for Bruce Lee Wing Chun…I wanted to be a Wing Chun grandmaster! I began beating that wooden dummy like he was yesterday’s eggs, doing the wooden dummy training until he needed bandages…but…I was just working hard, there was no secret gimmick that I could use, there was no…sigh.

So, not some sort of secret Wing Chun, but maybe a secret Wudang…that had to be the path! I explored Wudang Tai Chi, searched for secret Pa Kua Chang, and spiraled through the world of mystical martial arts like a rocket through the sky. And, great stuff, I could sink chi to the earth’s core, and spin like a planet full of magnetic needles, but…where was that secret martial arts I needed so bad?

I did everything I could. Meditations on the secret of intrinsic energy that fueled the mysterious tan tiens and enlightened the burning chakras of the greater microcosmic orbit that led to self realization in samadhi when I ascended from my skullular brainpan in the higher realms of paradaisical existence. But, and I say this with a bit of self disgust…I can’t find the secret!

I’m old now, and in great shape, gonna last a long time, and I know there is a secret out there. And I can do martial arts fighting with the best of them, slay hordes of secret ninjas if I have to, so nobody can stop me from getting to that secret martial art…if I could only find it. Please…somebody tell me…what is the secret?

But yoga has its own features. You could abide by some rules when you practice yoga. At first, you should choose the best time to go yoga. Generally speaking, people go yoga in the morning, afternoon and at noon. Actually, you could practice it all the day if only your stomach is empty. In other words, you shouldn’t practice it within three hours after meals. But yogi believes that four to six o’clock in the morning is the best time.

And then, place plays an important role. You’d better to practice it in a clean and comfortable room with sufficient space for stretching yourself. Green plants, flowers and soft music can help you to relax nerves. An open area without gale, pollution and strong sunlight is also a great choice to practice yoga.

Third, some props are necessarily. Yoga mat has a cushioning action and help you to keep balance. For beginners, yoga rope, yoga strap, yoga socks, and yoga block are other necessities to practice some difficult postures. By the way, you could purchase a yoga mat on online stores because they usually sell yoga mat with other props. It is easy and convenient for you to prepare for the learning.

Fourth, the cloth should be loose and soft. The cotton material is the best choice. When you practice it, you should take off shoes, socks (except for in winter), watch, glass, belt and other accouterments.

Fifth, it isn’t a good habit to practice yoga twenty minutes before and after taking a shower. It could hurt your health and consume your energy if you take a shower before practice it. The blood circulation could speed up after take a shower. In this way, it could increase your blood pressure, and add the burden on heart. The best way is taking a cold shower after practice it.

Yogic theory and practice increases self-knowledge which is a spiritual sort pertaining to grasp something about the nature. You could get lost in a rush of activities and push of desires after you are at peace, as a being and at rest state.

Overcoming Fear Through Meditation And God’s Love

Nothing has restorative faculties like meditation and for all life’s ills you shall attain amazing recompense by attacking that which you desire to rid your body, your psyche and your very essence of by availing of the God given gift of meditation. Our minds are powerful even beyond our wildest imaginings as it may protect us and destroy us but it is required we learn how to control the mind.

Fear is one of the most powerful feelings and truly it is nothing more than a feeling but because of the effect it has on our minds it appears to be physical. As an exercise please take out your Bible and read the sections dedicated to fear in the Book of Wisdom learning how to pacify and control them in section 17:1-16. Knowledge is power that builds reason thus assists in overcoming that which does not exist and then you maintain control.

As you study these lines, open your mind and allow the words to penetrate through to your subconscious where they shall assume control of the negativity that restrains your power. Choose one line or section of words and meditate on them. While the words are working, allow the fear to come into the front of your mind and let it aim to take charge.

As you practice this skill set the fear that once held you in restraint shall fade and you will feel empowered. Fear is nothing more than a false belief appearing real as it is not tangible therefore it has no faculty to destroy beyond the control you allow it.

Fear is good when it prevents you from walking out in front of a car or walking off a cliff as it is innately built into your unconscious to protect you. This type of fear is healthy because we have to have a braking system to slow us down allowing discernment of a situation time to adjust our advance.

Paranormal or supernatural activities have no scientific explanation and believe all you want about them but it is within your mind to prevent anything from defacing your peace of mind. Darkness, empty houses and strong winds have played with mans minds forever and ever and this is a reason to embrace faith in your life so darkness shall not invade and immobilize you.

Victims of abuse know all about fear imposed on the mind even without physical inflictions occurring because the implications given with fierce acuity  have a similar effect as the actual force. Likewise, victims of abuse have to use their minds to free the implications of their captors and allow healing to thoroughly manifest before they will be really free.

As an exercise study your mind and get to know your strength while becoming familiar with any latent imprints so that the day shall never arise when you will be taken off guard with surprising reactions. Believe in God not out of guilt or fear or because someone told you it was necessary but because you have become familiar with his blessings and allowed the spiritual essence of his love to heal you. This takes time and commitment but if you want or desire to know God then it is a perquisite to become as familiar with him as you would any friend, because God is our friend.

Meditation on God’s word will allow his unconditional love to assist you in overcoming your fears and through his wisdom, you will recognise the source of fear thus you assume control and cast it aside. God bless, and may you live truly free with abundant love always and forever. Amen!
