In fact, most of the couples who are practicing couple yoga are men and women who are involved in a loving relationship. But, the term “couple” here can also mean two people. They can be friends of the same gender, a girlfriend or a buddy. They can be a parent and a child. What seems to be most important to a successful yoga “couple” is that they share a caring relationship.

In the practice of couple yoga, each person not only performs individual Asanas, but also performs many yoga exercises together with their partner. Some couple postures involve only minor physical contact, like holding your partner’s back as they bend. Others are such that they cannot be performed alone. A Pascimottanasana is an example in which the couple is seated on a mat with the bottoms of there feet together and their hands clasping their partner’s wrists. Together, they perform a double forward bend and help each other stretch leg, back and arm muscles.

One might ask, “what are the advantages of practicing couple yoga? There are many.

Couple yoga helps each person to perform the most difficult postures with greater ease.

Mutual practice creates a greater level of intimacy. It can take the relationship to a different level and helps develop deeper understanding of ourselves and our partner.

In our busy lives when we do not know how to create time for rejuvenation of our own individual health, sharing the practice of yoga with a loved one can become an important means of improving both personal health and the strength of a relationship.

Practicing couple yoga helps each partner to understand their own and their partner’s strengths and weaknesses and creates the opportunity for each to add to their own and their partner’s strengths and to help improve each other’s deficiencies.

Couple yoga can create a surge of energy in the relationship. It can improve the way you “dance” together. The supportive hand of a partner helps to unlock all those blocked energy areas in your body.

It is difficult for many people to perform postures like chakraasana alone. When you have a partner to give you a helping hand you can do it without any effort at all.

Doing yoga with your kids enhances their feelings of being safe. Your loving touch and protective presence will make them confident and will help in them to grow into healthy adults.

We all know that there are two basic forms of communication – verbal and non-verbal. Doing yoga with your partner will improve the quality of your non-verbal communication and this communication without words gives another dimension for the expression of emotions.

Doing yoga with your partner will help you become sensitive to when your partner is in need and aware of how to help. The combination of touch and caring adds to the healing capacity of your shared yoga relationship. Because partner yoga creates the space and the opportunity to hear each other beyond words, each will be able to hear “inner sounds” of the other. This heightened awareness adds to the feelings of peace and grounding often noted as one of the main benefits of traditional yoga.

Couple yoga creates a feeling of mutual harmony and helps each partner stay in touch with the other. It is one of the best ways to sustain health on physical, emotional and spirit to spirit levels..

The yoga couple will be more flexible and together they will have more energy.

One of the most important advantages of couple yoga is the atmosphere it creates. Humor and laughter are not characteristics of traditional yoga. They are common in couple yoga. They contribute to an atmosphere of lightness, which is one of the best signs of health and happiness.

Couple yoga is not for everyone.

Many people benefit from their daily, solitary practice of yoga or from the yoga classes they attend with others. Many need the individual time as much as they need the benefits they derive from yoga practice. Some people are not comfortable with physical touch or with performing asanas with others watching.

Yoga-Pants-Women – Choosing the Best Bottoms for Your Yoga Workout

Yoga is a discipline that originated in India but is now popular all over the world, particularly as a form of exercise.  The benefits that the yoga movements and positions confer, such as improving circulation, strengthening all areas of the body, aiding in weight loss, promoting relaxation, and increasing flexibility, make up a major reason for why so many people have taken it up as their regular exercise regimen now.  The active attire that most people wear during this type of workout is specially designed for yoga, such as yoga-pants-women.

This is because practicing yoga requires special movements that are not found in other types of exercise programs.  There is a lot of flexibility involved.  There are also various positions and poses, such as different standing-up positions, ones where you have to bend down and over, positions where you have to be on all four, etc.  Because of these different postures that you have to assume, you should wear clothing, especially pants, that allows for such flexible movements and that will not be subject to wears and tears so easily.  If you are looking for yoga-pants-women active wear, there are many different types and styles to choose from.

Women yoga bottoms offer a range of coverage for your leg area.  There are full-length yoga pants that cover the entire length of your legs.  Shorts provide the least coverage.  Cropped and capri yoga pants fall in between, with the length falling around the knees.  Depending on your preference, you may be more comfortable showing more skin or less skin.  Therefore, you could decide which kind of yoga-pants-women clothing you want to buy based on that criteria.  You might also prefer to buy one that provides the least coverage, i.e. shorts, for the summer, in addition to one that provides the most coverage, i.e. full-length, for the winter.  Either that, or you might want one that you can wear all-year round, such as capri yoga pants.

In addition to coverage, you might also want to choose the pants you wear based on how comfortable it is for everyday use if you are planning on wearing the yoga-pants-women bottoms for other activities besides exercising, including just lounging around the house.  Otherwise, if you are planning on only wearing it while performing the yoga workout, then it might be a good idea to place more importance on how comfortable the pants feel while working out and how freely you are able to move in them.

 While you are off burdened, naturally you shall feel happy. Happiness knows no limits. The thought influence you that you experience different state of feelings within you…when you are relieved or so, it is natural to express you are so happy.

 I once had read somewhere a story where in a mother was doing household course in the kitchen and asked the child to play with granny. While the girl was in the company of the grandmother, she said to granny, ‘oh I am so happy, granny’. The granny smiled but the mother yelled ‘oh that is great’ but what makes you so happy. She did not answer to mom.

 After sometime, the girl repeated that she was so happy, the mother could not resist and asked here to tell why she very so happy. Girl replied ‘I am your stepmother and you are Cinderella, now doing all the kitchen jobs for us, I am so happy for that.

 The mother has been telling her little kid the story of Cinderella and her sisters. The girl assumed her in place of the step mother and versioned her mother as Cinderella. Now imagine the thought of the small girl why she very so happy.

 Likewise, when you are distressed for some reason or the other and see no way-out of the problem, then you feel there is nothing in life, oh! It is so boring and is sullen some times. Then all of a sudden, you see a small positive aspect in the context and exclaim oh I am so happy…seems a burden is just lifted. You want to celebrate and enjoy life once again.

 One can narrate hundreds of instances when one has felt sullen while doing daily chores that he/she is faced with seemingly insurmountable hurdles and desperately looks to getting out of it. The moment, it seems that decks are clear and a new thought takes over imbibing something earlier not imagined, turns you into a happy lot.

 Here one can say that negativity of mind sometimes leads to such a sullen state of mind. Not that one always gets this phobia, yet many a time it does happen…and it sometimes leads to depression.

One should always try to remain in a positive frame of mind then only every time you shall exclaim… Oh! I am sooooo happy! Amen

how can i keep myself in this mind frame?

right now i am, well not so much ‘happy’ exactly but i’m positive and optimistic about things. usually i am a very low, pessimistic person and i really hate that about myself! sometimes i get in moods [like this one] where i feel that life will work out, and i can look on the bright side of things. i love when i am in this mood, but i want to learn how to always feel this way. in other words be more optimistic all the time, and generally just a happier person.

any advice on how i can do this?

What usually helps me is regular exercise and eating right, it helps my body feel better and my mind. Keep yourself around uplifting people. I also do yoga. it helps
